An artist from a young age, Jason Tobias grew up in southern Florida with his four brothers. Dropping out of art school after only one semester, Tobias felt stifled by the structure of the classroom. Artistic freedom, he feels, is something as important as shelter and sustenance to an artist.

He now lives in on the coast of Maine with his wife Randi, who works as an animal groomer, and their two dogs, Charcoal and Cinder. He hopes to complete his first book of artwork early in 2025.
